Hi! I’m Sam. I write about things like fantasy, romance, knights and kings, farce comedy, absurdity, action, and adventure. I’ve been writing since the first grade when I wrote a short story about a king chasing down a dragon. I got serious in middle school and I published the first book in my Triumph of Heroes trilogy when I was 20 years old. I’ve got a number of projects in the works you can read all about under the Books menu in the top ribbon there.
I started my career by writing epic fantasy. Since then I’ve branched out to historical fantasy, comedy, action, and adventure. No matter the genre, I always write about the relationships that people have with each other and how they change, fall apart, and get stitched back together. It forms the backbone of my creative work and is something that I feel truly passionate about.
In my spare time, aside from writing every day (even if it’s just to scribble a few ideas on the page), I enjoy close-up magic, camping, cooking, weight training, and singing barbershop.
